Yes, with the new-age employers being so reliant on hiring candidates solely on the basis of their higher education, the above statement holds utter truth. Go for an interview; you will be asked about your last acquired education prior to anything else. The higher education, better known as professional education has become a mere means of obtaining a job. People are more interested in acquiring a degree, than gaining knowledge.
True, that most of us study to catch hold a nice job which is completely justified as well, but things are getting into a darker side because of employers hiring just on the basis of one’s marks in their degree program. Of course, academic background is important; but things such as; a candidate’s attitude towards life, communication skills and other aspects also do matter for over all evaluation of an interviewee. There are cases when the best toppers of a university fail in the personal interview round of an organization. Now, that surely doesn’t mean that interviewee was at fault; maybe he never got a chance come out of that mere book! And, being unaware about social skills and other lot of things sometimes takes a person all away from the society –refraining from his over-all development.
At, Jharkahnd Rai University we aim for the by and large progress of a student; through a detailed focus on his behavioral, communication and soft skills – eventually turning the best out of a student – making him ready for his further obstacles in life.
