Why online education seems more relevant today?

In an era where each of us seem to be doing the pettiest chores of ours – online, why spare education apart! From booking a rail-ticket to even watching a cricket match, the internet has really changed the way we live today. We, no more have to wait in those long queues just to book that ticket at the railway counter or at the cinema hall. The new age computer kept on the tables at our homes does it all for us. Thanks to the ever-racing internet which has been running since decades to make our life easier (oh, so literally!) Yes, the high-speed internet and data plans available nowadays, has also hugely contributed towards the same fact and made us so reliable on the net.

But, things were not such shiny all the time; if we look back at the past decade we are likely to find some striking contrast to what we are seeing today, especially in regard to technology. Try to sink in nostalgia for sometime and you may find your dad to be sitting with that age old, transistor with All India Radio playing in the background – and, sometimes for the whole day! Oh, what we meant to say is, then, with scarce and mere means of technology one could not imagine himself to be talking over the web-cam. Whereas, today, up to a very large extent, the technology has played its role in the way we do things.

Taking advantage of those ‘technological advancements’, Jharkhand Rai University is making education more accessible to the masses using the Internet.
